Brace for Two! CBSE Board Exams to Go Bi-annual in 2025
According to recent sources, the first group of students on the central board to be granted the ability to sit for multiple board exams would be those starting class 10 and class 12 in the 2024–2025 academic year. The first-ever multiple board exams are expected to be administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education in 2025. Senior Ministry of Education officials supplied the details about the same.
In a 2023 interview, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that the twice-yearly test format will start in 2024–2025. This implies that the model will be used in the 2025 board exams for students in classes 10 and 12.
According to officials, it will not be necessary for pupils in classes 10 and 12 to take the new tests twice a year. Students who worry about missing a single opportunity will find less stress with the multiple board test method. Should a candidate feel well-prepared and content with their performance in one of the exam sets, they are free to decline to take the second exam.
About 38.2 lakh pupils took the class 10 and class 12 board exams in the 2023 CBSE examinations. Officials from the Education Ministry anticipate that the first board test of 2025 will take place in November or December of that year, while the second exam will take place in February or March of that same year. The ultimate result and merit list will be determined by combining the results of the two top exams.
