The teenager missed both the Monday, January 29, 2024, evening assembly and his morning classes on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, according to the police inquiry.
One of his classmates went to the deceased student’s room and discovered that the door was locked from the inside when everyone realized the student was absent. He notified the college administration right away.
He was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan in his room by the college administration, who had broken the lock on the door.

A message found in the student’s room was reported by Ranchi’s Laxmikant police station in charge. In the note, he begged his parents to apologize before taking his own life.
Laxmikant went on, “We also discovered that boy was an introvert and never spoke to anyone in college during the investigation. On the campus of the institution, he used to live alone.
The student’s body was taken to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for post-mortem procedures, according to the police.
The authorities are currently investigating Piyush Raj’s suicide, but the cause is yet unknown and will likely be revealed soon.
